Alaska Ferry Adventures Terms of Service and Cancellation Policy

Terms of Service:

At Alaska Ferry Adventures and Tours we promise to give you the best possible service in helping you plan a unique trip to Alaska or just to book ferry travel on the Alaska Marine Highway. We do all the work so you can have the experience of a lifetime.

FERRY TRAVEL: Payment for ferry-only travel depends on the time between the booking and the day of sailing and can range from due at time of booking to due within two weeks.

ALASKA FERRY ADVENTURES TOUR PACKAGES: Deposits on tours must be paid within two weeks of acceptance. The balance is due 30 days after deposit.

IMPORTANT: All promotions/pricing and cabin space is subject to availability at the time of booking and the prices shown or quoted at this web site are for reference purposes only.

ALASKA FERRY ADVENTURES CANCELLATION POLICY: Reservations cancelled 30-15 days prior to departure date will result in a 20% cancellation fee plus any fees associated with the policies of the individual vendors. Cancellations of 14 days or less are non-refundable. If traveling on the Alaska Marine Highway, the cancellation/refund policy is the same as the one honored by the State of Alaska for that portion of your trip. Alaska Ferry Adventures will make every effort to provide a full refund of a deposit or full payment in the event of a cancellation prior to 30 days of the departure date; however, every supplier (airline, hotel, tour operator, etc.) has its own cancellation and refund policy. Most agencies will refund your deposit if you cancel prior to the day final payment is due. However some hotels, airlines, tour operators and other vendors may assess a penalty if you cancel your vacation after you have made a deposit. Alaska Ferry Adventures highly recommends that you consider travel insurance with your cruise or tour vacation purchase. Travel insurance may further protect you in the event of cancellation due to covered medical reasons or other occurrences depending upon the policy plan.

Information for Ferry Travelers

Tickets

You can pick up your ticket on the date of departure at the terminal with a valid Government ID. Tickets will be issued only after we have received full payment.

Cancellations and Changes

If you wish to make changes or cancel your itinerary, please contact a reservation specialist at 1-800-382-9229 or 907-235-7099. A change fee may apply.

A penalty of 15% or the unused portion of the itinerary will be applied to any cancellation or change made within 14 days of sailing that results in a reduction of the prepaid or ticketed amount.

Schedules

The State of Alaska reserves the right to alter, revise, or cancel schedules and rates without prior notice and assumes no responsibility for delays and/or expenses due to such modifications. You can get schedule updates by visiting our website or by calling the AMHS reservation call center at 1-800-642-0066.

Check-in Times

Failure to check in by the appointed time could result in cancellation of your reservation.

Other Important Information

Pets
Pets can be transported on the ferry either contained in the passenger's vehicle, or in an approved pet carrier. Whenever traveling through Canada or between states with a pet a veterinarian-issued health certificate dated within 30 days of the passenger's sailing date for each pet is required. Canadian customs requires cats and dogs to have proof of rabies vaccination within the last 3 years. Any other type of pet requires a valid health certificate in Canada.

***AMHS TRAVEL ALERT***
According to the US Customs and Border Protection, beginning June 1, 2009, passports or other acceptable travel documents will be required to re-enter the US after travel through Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda by land or sea. While this began with air travel in early 2008, it is now extended to those traveling by land or sea (ferry). While there are other acceptable documents, passports will be the basic identification document for travelers. AMHS passengers planning to travel from Prince Rupert on AMHS will need to obtain a passport (or other acceptable documentation) to re-enter the US by ferry. Information is available at www.cbp.gov on the Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) link for more specific information.

To develop a tour of Alaska for you

To send periodic emails
The email address you provide for order processing, will only be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order.

How do we protect your information?

We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information.

We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.

After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.

Do we use cookies?

We do not use cookies.

Do we disclose any information to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety. However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act Compliance
